"Today" show host Savannah Guthrie is begging the public for help as the search for her elderly mother — who authorities believe was taken from her Arizona home — continues into its ninth day.

"We are at an hour of desperation, and we need your help," the famed NBC anchor said in a new Instagram video posted on Monday.

Savannah Guthrie's 84-year-old mom, Nancy Guthrie, was reported missing by her family on February 1 after she was last seen the night before when they dropped her off at home following a dinner.

Local authorities have said that they believe Nancy Guthrie, who is limited in her mobility and relies on medication, was taken "against her will" from her ranch-style home just outside Tucson in the Catalina Foothills.

"We believe our mom is still out there. We need your help," Savannah Guthrie said in the Monday video, calling the situation a "nightmare."

She added, "Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock trying to bring her home, trying to find her. She was taken, and we don't know where."

"And we need your help, so I'm coming on just to ask you, not just for your prayers, but no matter where you are, even if you're far from Tucson, if you see anything, you hear anything, if there's anything at all that seems strange to you, that you report to law enforcement," Savannah Guthrie said.

The FBI, which is assisting in the investigation, is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.

Nancy Guthrie's disappearance has garnered national attention and has led to ransom notes being sent to local and national media outlets, which the authorities have been investigating. Last week, however, the FBI arrested a California man over a bogus ransom demand that was sent to Guthrie's family.
